Seedless Tamarind
Tamarind is a tropical fruit that comes from the tamarind tree (Tamarindus indica). The fruit grows in long, curved pods that usually measure between 4 to 10 centimeters (about 1.6 to 4 inches). Inside the pods, you’ll find a sticky, dark brown pulp that surrounds a few hard seeds.
What makes tamarind special is its bold, tangy flavor. It has a unique mix of sweet and sour that adds a delicious kick to food. You’ll often find it in dishes like chutneys, sauces, curries, marinades, soups, and stews—where it brings a rich, complex taste.
